The Society of Uncommon Courtesy Opens Its Doors: New Grasshopper Certified Trainer Program
Brings Ethics and Etiquette Training to the Modern Workplace

“Good behavior is a professional skill, not a lost art” — veteran corporate trainer and Ethics and Etiquette Expert,
Phyllis Davis, launches a certification program alongside her new book

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — [September 5, 2026] — Ethics and etiquette authority Phyllis Davis today announced the launch of The Society of Uncommon Courtesy, a professional membership organization, and its flagship offering: the Grasshopper Certified Trainer program, which prepares professionals to deliver ethics and etiquette training in their own companies, communities, and consulting practices.

The launch coincides with the October 15 publication of Davis’s new book, Oh, Wise Grasshopper…™ Ethics & Etiquette for the Rest of Us, whose curriculum anchors the certification. Certified trainers gain access to Davis’s teaching materials, methodology, and ongoing support. This is a model Davis knows well, having previously built and run a nationwide trainer certification program whose graduates taught her materials across the United States and dozens of other countries.

“Every organization says it wants a culture of respect, and very few know how to teach one,” said Davis. “The Society of Uncommon Courtesy exists to close that gap. We certify people who can walk into a workplace and teach conduct the way you would teach any other professional skill because that is exactly what it is.”

Davis brings more than four decades of experience to the initiative, including corporate training engagements across the country, three million air miles, and two previous books, among them E2: Ethics and Etiquette in American Business, which launched with a twenty-city national media tour. Her LinkedIn column, “Ask Phyllis: Ethics & Etiquette for the Rest of Us,” reaches a growing professional readership each week.

The Society welcomes human-resources professionals, corporate trainers, coaches, consultants, and educators. Membership and certification details are available at ohwisegrasshopper.com. Companies interested in on-site training or keynote presentations may contact Phyllis Davis directly at her company, Success Technology®.
